Louisiana Flyfisher is a fly fishing guide service made up of a group of professional, determined, and entertaining guides that truly love the sport of fly fishing. We specialize in fly fishing the vast marsh of Louisiana and work hard all day every day to put our clients on the fishing they have come to Louisiana to experience as well as helping our clients advance their fly fishing skills. We fish primarily within an hour and a half of New Orleans, Louisiana and keep our boats on trailers that allow us to have the mobility to be where the fish are . Our main goals are to keep our anglers safe, put smiles on their faces, and create memories for them that will last a lifetime.

Capt. Rob Burden

Anyone who has fished with Rob will agree that it is hard to step foot on his skiff without having fun. Rob is originally from Pennsylvania and moved to Steamboat Springs, Co in 2007. He began his guiding career that summer with Steamboat Flyfisher and later became co-owner and head guide of the shop. Rob decided to extend his guiding career in the off-season and began fishing the Louisiana marsh in 2014. He quickly found out that the marsh provides anglers with some of the greatest fly fishing in the world. Saltwater fly fishing is Rob’s true passion and he spends close to 300 days a year on the water. Rob is a Simms ambassador and is a member of R.L. Winston Rods pro staff.

Capt. Andy Best

Andy is a well versed fly angler originally from Wisconsin, having guided in Alaska, Utah, Colorado and Louisiana. Andy now splits time guiding in CO in the summer for trout and in Louisiana in the winter for redfish.   He has been spending time in the Louisiana marsh since 2014 and enjoys showing people a good time.  A patient guide who knows we all make mistakes while fishing, he is eager to work hard to put his anglers on the fish of their dreams. Andy is a proud Simms ambassador.

Capt. Stephen Boudreaux

Capt. Stephen Boudreaux is born, raised, and currently lives in Thibodaux, Louisiana. He has fished the area his entire life, but didn’t pick up a fly rod until a friend introduced him to fly fishing while attending college. After catching his first redfish on fly, he was hooked. Now he spend his days on the water with others sharing great experiences and watching others catch their first, and sometimes their biggest Louisiana redfish while educating them on the Louisiana marsh and the importance of the great resources we have here!

Capt. John Livingston

John Livingston was born and raised in Dallas, TX and has been a fisherman his entire life. John’s experience growing up came from fishing in and around the Lower Laguna Madre near South Padre Island. When John first learned to fly fish, he knew immediately that it was what he wanted to do for as long as he could. This love for fly fishing has taken him from the Ozark mountains to high into the Rocky Mountains and down to the Gulf Coast. He absolutely loves to fly fish, but more than that, he loves to share his passion for fly fishing with others. John is ready and able to accommodate anglers of all experience levels and enjoys teaching and instructing when necessary.

Capt. Mike Lambert

Captain Mike Lambert has been fishing his entire life. Born and raised in Morgan City, Louisiana, his best memories are while honing his fishing passion with this father in the Atchafalaya delta. As an adult, that passion became an obsession and Mike spent every available moment learning the world of fly fishing in the Louisiana Marsh. Captain Mike’s 30 years of experience of fly fishing the area puts his clients in the best possible position to catch the fish of a lifetime.
